Eight Legged Freaks is a thrilling and entertaining monster movie that will have you on the edge of your seat. The special effects are top-notch, bringing the giant spiders to life in a way that is both terrifying and impressive. The cast, led by David Arquette and Kari Wuhrer, do a great job at bringing the characters to life, and the script is filled with plenty of humor and suspense. Overall, it’s a must-see for fans of the genre and a fun, action-packed film for everyone else.
As someone who grew up with a severe phobia of spiders, I was hesitant to watch ‘Eight Legged Freaks the first time. It has since become one of my favorite silly horror films. The giant spiders are so incredibly well done that they freaked me out as a kid in the early 2000’s but its now a comfort film I go back to watch when I need something that is gonna make me laugh.
Scarlett Johansen plays the daughter of the sheriff in this film and has some very funny scenes with some great one liners. I love seeing actors before they hit it big. It’s always fun to see how they have grown. David Arquette is in this film and I probably was thinking about it because of the new Scream missing Dewey.
How can you not love this film. The opening of the film with the spiders taking over the spider keepers house, to the ridiculous way the spiders become mutant. The fact that no one listens to the kid even when he is obviously the right one in all the situations. Its just a wonderfully fun B rated film that has so much going for it. It makes me giggle and if a film about spiders can make me giggle then I think it’s worth a watch every now and then.
